Invisalign® Orthodontics for Teens and Adults
These “invisible” aligners are the latest in orthodontic technology for adults and teens. Straight teeth and a revitalized smile no longer need to come from a mouth full of unattractive wire and bracket braces. Enhancing self-esteem and physical confidence, invisible braces offer an aesthetic and barely visible alternative to conventional wire/bracket braces.
Get the smile you’ve always wanted with Invisalign® Orthodontics.
Straight Wire Orthodontics
Thanks to today’s advances in orthodontic technology, now more than ever, Marigold PDO can provide our patients with more options when it comes to wearing braces. Traditional metal braces are still the most common type of braces. They are smaller and now more comfortable than they ever have been in the past. Ceramic braces are made of clear materials and are, therefore, less visible on your teeth than metal braces, and are a great option for older teens or professionals.
iTero™ Digital Impressions
An accurate impression is essential for effective treatment in orthodontic care. The iOC scanner at Old Tappan Orthodontics captures the contours of tooth and gingival structures, producing an accurate digital orthodontic scan in just minutes. Say goodbye to the goop!
We are proud to feature PROPEL® Orthodontics – innovative devices and procedures for shifting teeth quickly and with reduced discomfort. The PROPEL® System is used in conjunction with other orthodontic procedures, including Invisalign® and traditional braces, to help move teeth up to 50% faster than with just Invisalign® or traditional braces.
Adults seek orthodontic treatment for many of the same reasons as children. Some adults had orthodontic problems as children but were unable to correct them until now. Other adults, who had treatment as children, may need further treatments due to relapse or limitations in initial treatment. Some benefits from orthodontic treatment include alignment of the teeth to create a more aesthetic and beautiful smile, corrections of relapse after previous orthodontic treatment due to lack of long term retainer wear, making room to replace missing teeth.
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that most children have an orthodontic screening by age 7. This screening allows Dr. Nick to determine if orthodontic treatment will be required and the best time for this treatment to begin.
Once the braces are removed, you will receive a retainer to stabilize the dental correction. Because the bone and soft tissues surrounding the teeth are still stabilizing for several months after the braces are removed, it is imperative that the retainer is worn as instructed. Failure to wear the retainer may result in the teeth moving back to the original position (or close to it) – this means that you may need to come back for re-treatment.
Carriere Motion Appliance
No Surgery. No Extractions. No Bulky Devices. Motion minimizes the need for bite correcting surgeries and extractions and eliminates ugly, bulky bite correctors. Those can easily break, causing the inconvenience of time-consuming emergency appointments. Plus, Motion shortens overall treatment time dramatically. Most adult patients today have the smile they’ve dreamed about in one year.
TADs to Move Teeth
Temporary Anchorage Devices are mini-screws and mini-implants that accurately control the movement and positioning of teeth and reduce time of orthodontic treatment. They can be used to correct both skeletal (jaw) position and dental (tooth) position discrepancies
Carriere SLX Bracket System
The SLX Bracket System resets the standards for excellence and performance in passive self-ligating brackets with numerous clinician driven innovations for clinical effectiveness and efficiency.
